Nexans continues its success with yet another award

Posted on

This year is shaping up to be an exceptional one for Nexans. The worldwide leader in cables and cabling systems has already enjoyed a solid start to the year, winning a host of new contracts, as well as earning the title of 'Best physical infrastructure vendor' at the prestigious Reseller Middle East Hot 50 Awards held in Dubai.

And the emirate state is the site of another success for the firm, with Nexans claiming the award for ‘Structured Cabling Vendor of the Year 2015’ at the Network World Middle East Award 2015.

The award aims to recognise the company's innovative portfolio of cabling solutions, as well as its approach to customer service and its expertise.

High recognition

The ceremony for the awards, now in its sixth year, attracted more than 350 guests at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, recognising the efforts of both users and vendors when it comes to innovation and key regional technology implementations.

Contenders in the vendor award category were judged on a wide range of criteria, including product innovation, quality of services, major customer deployments and commitment to the region.

And Nexans was the firm that came out on top, much to the delight of its regional director in the Gulf and Middle East, Tarek Helmy.

Commenting on the win, he said: “We are extremely honoured to be the recipients of the ‘Structured Cabling Vendor of the Year’ award from Network World Middle East once again this year, which is also our seventh major award in this region over the last three years. At Nexans we strive to bring the most innovative and intelligent LAN cabling solution to our customers through extensive research and development and this award recognises our company’s ethos of hard work, commitment, dedication towards our customers in providing the highest level of expertise and strong customer service and support.”

Nexans building on strong foundation

Nexans, which has an industrial presence in around 40 countries, claims its success has mainly been driven by a commitment to innovative products, solutions and services, employee development, and the use of industrial processes that have a minimal impact on the environment.

The company also claims to be dedicating efforts to four major areas of its customerbase, including power transmission and distribution (submarine and land), energy resources (oil & gas, mining and renewables), transportation (road, rail, air, sea) and building (commercial, residential and data Centres).

Jeevan Thankappan, group editor of the technology division at CPI Media Group, added: “With the advent of high-speed Ethernet networks and bandwidth-hungry applications, choosing the right cabling system, be it for your LAN or data centre, has become more important than ever. Nexans Cabling Solutions stands out for providing cabling infrastructure solutions spanning both copper and fibre that help companies cope with the ever-increasing demands and higher throughput."
