Global networking specialist NetGear has declared war on Wi-Fi dead zones with the release of its new AC750 WiFi Range Extender with Extra Outlet (EX3800) - the latest in its expanding range of extenders.
NetGear claims it is the first AC750 wireless extender in the world to feature a pass-through wall-plug design, which provides an effective way to fight Wi-Fi dead zones without losing a power outlet.
Convenience for those demanding more from their Wi-Fi
The convenient design means this product can be placed anywhere in the building, offering dual-band Wi-Fi for speeds of up to 750MB.
External antennas ensure better performance, while it is also compatible with any router. Further, it caters for NetGear's own FastLane technology, which uses two Wi-Fi bands simultaneously to establish one super-fast wireless connection.
Such speeds make it the ideal addition to systems having to handle HD video streaming and transfers requiring substantial amounts of data.
Overall, the AC750 WiFi Range Extender boosts coverage of any existing Wi-Fi network, dramatically boosting accessibility, range and, most importantly, performance.
Not only does it extend the range of an existing wireless network, it can be used to create another Wi-Fi access point, so there is no need to ever face being disconnected ever again.
Everything's connected
Having a high-quality wireless connection is a must-have in the modern age, particularly with the dawning of the internet of things (IoT), which, by connecting devices within the home or office, has opened up a number of new and exciting possibilities and innovations.
To be held up by a poor wireless connection is rightfully seen as unacceptable and it is that idea that is being tapped into with NetGear's latest release.
Jonathan Wu, director of product management for the NETGEAR Retail Business Unit, said: “In 2015, there’s simply no reason to become frustrated with WiFi performance or dead zones. Our new Wi-Fi Range Extender, the first to combine AC750 Wi-Fi with the convenience of a wall-plug form factor with an extra outlet, adds to our product portfolio that leverages the newest and fastest 802.11ac wireless standard for high-performance networking
“It’s a great accessory that will help you get better performance from your existing equipment so that you can surf the Internet, stream HD movies without constant buffering, or listen to your favourite Internet radio stations no matter where you may be — in the upstairs bedroom, outside on the deck, or in the garage.”
Users can monitor the performance of their system by way of the free NETGEAR WiFi Analytics app for Android tablets and smartphones, which makes it easier for people to get the most out of their network by offering information about network status, signal strength and channel interference.
