Corning's FTTx DualDrop dielectric fibre cables with a factory terminated OptiTap connection at one end have been designed as an underground installation cable and is effectively two cables in one. The design is a 2.9mm FRNC/LSZH drop cable centred inside a rugged outside external cable with a pre-connectorized OptiTap sealed connector. FastAccess technology allows the easy removal of the outer jacket leaving the drop cable to be run internally, eliminating the need for a further termination boxes or splices
