Global networking specialist NetGear has announced that it is to release of new range of innovative products that it claims will help appeal to a number of consumers, businesses and even service providers.
Triband router
One of the newest products to have been unveiled by the company is the Nighthawk X6, a router designed to fit into even the most modern IT set up, particularly those that need to accommodate different devices along the same internet connection.
This product comes with two 5GHz bands, which NetGear claims will help it reach and maintain high connection speeds, while also eliminating any troughs in performance that may arise when connecting new devices.
Other features include six antennas, as well as a dual-core 1GHz CPU, which is in turn supplemented by a trio of offload processors.
There is also the feature of two USB ports, allowing users to connect the router to an external hard drive, enabling automatic backups of any important data.
ReadyNAS
Another new offering to be released by the firm is set to be an update of its ReadyNAS family of desktop and rack-mount Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices.
The service already offers a highly advanced and easy-to-use storage solution for customers, helping users to centralise and access digital files with ease and peace of mind.
The flexible nature of this product means that it is ideally suited to both the home and the office, offering substantial benefits, such as data protection, backup, sync, and cloud-based usability.
While NetGear takes a great deal of pride in its hardware offerings, it does also offer software specifically aimed at ReadyNAS users.
ReadyNAS OS 6.2 can help users get the most out of this fantastic product and is available to users for no extra charge.
Matt Pahnke, senior product marketing manager for NETGEAR Storage, said: “ReadyNAS OS 6.2 delivers amazing new protection and usability features for all our ReadyNAS devices for homes and businesses.
“File protection is the number one reason that people purchase network storage, and we’ve put it first as well. With five layers of file protection, we do a better job of protecting precious digital content than any NAS in the market.”
It all adds to the company’s dedication of offering the strongest level of data protection in the industry.
By guarding against bit rot media degradation, viruses and malware, it manages to offer no less than five levels of defence.
However, NetGear still recommends users have at least one complete backup of all data stored within an IT infrastructure, although it does also state that if storage drives are damaged or become difficult to access, it can offer additional levels of protection, with expert data recovery services available.
